Interesting slant on guns

The world's largest army... America 's hunters!
I had never thought about this...
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking
conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin.
Allow me to restate that number: Over the last
several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.
More men under arms than in Iran .
More than France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with
firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and
Michigan's 700,000 hunters, all of whom have now returned home safely.
Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia
and it literally establishes the that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states.
It's millions more.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion
with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting...
it's not just a way to fill the freezer.
It's a matter of national security.

That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic,
want to see us disarmed.
Food for thought, when next we consider gun control.
Have A Great Day!
-------------------------------------
Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions
that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers,
the question would still remain...what army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens.
(IF YOU AGREE, AS I DO, PASS IT ON, I FEEL GOOD THAT I HAVE AN ARMY OF MILLIONS WHO WOULD PROTECT OUR LAND AND I SURE DON'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING CONTROL OF THE POSSESSION OF FIREARMS)
For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.

I am selling my 1985 Harley Softail Trike.

Lots of chrome, Reaper front wheel on a chrome Wide Glide Frontend (with spinners), Tour Pac added, newer battery and clutch, stroked EVO with a rebuilt transmission, good tires. Needs a little work, mainly re-wire the starting curcuit - have the wiring, and adjust the clutch plates and shift linkage. $8000 as is, $10,500 when I find the time to finish it up (end of May or June 2012). It's been awhile since I've written anything, lack of enthusiasm and real life eating up too much time, hell, I won't get a full weekend off until the third week of of May and it's been a few weeks without one all ready. It sucks in a way, but I'm sitting on about a month and a half of vaction time for this year right now with about another two months to be made throughout the rest of the year and not counting the two weeks I took in March to go to the Dominican Republic. Plenty of time for some major motorcycle adventures this year. Ride safe!

Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort, Spa & Casino - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
WOW! We just got back from 7 nights at the Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana, this place was GREAT!!! My wife and I and friends Allan and Debbie flew out of St Louis and in about 3 hours or so arrived in the Dominican Republic. After going through customs and about 30 minutes by bus, we arrived at the resort - very nice! We were greeted warmly by the reception staff, loaded on a large golf cart and transported to our rooms, this must be what it is like to be a rock star! Our rooms where a two minute walk to the pool, two bars and two restaurants and a three minute walk to the beach, almost as close as you can get - oh yeah, we were rock stars!

This is a quick description of the Bavaro Princess Resort: About eight restaurants, seven or eight bars, two outdoor pools, an awesome beach, nightly entertainment (very good!), a casino, great food, great drinks, and a staff that is unbelieveable, all of this on about 95 arces. I am currently accepting donations so I can live there permanently, contact me to donate. Thank you.

Of course Santa cannot go anywhere without someone wanting to sit on his lap
The shows were very good!
If laying around the pool or beach all day is not your thing, there are excursions going all over the place at prices that are not too bad. You can swim with the dolphins, swim with the sharks, scuba, snorkle, zipline, mud buggies, cigar factories, coffee and cocoa plantations, horseback riding and the list goes on! Some of the most fun you can have is going shopping. Walk out the front gate of the resort and there are what seems like hundreds of small shops with many of the shop owners sitting out front to entice you into their shop. You will be greeted with many "my friend" and hand shaking, don't have any fear, these guys are really nice and friendly! You will notice nothing in most of the shops have a price, these guys will try and get the most money for their wares, what I have learned is most of them will take about one third of their asking price just to make the deal, they love to "negotiate!" Upon leaving one shop, you will be greeted and led to the next and next, ... If you let them, you will be escorted into just about every shop there, when you have had enough, tell them you are leaving and may come back tomorrow. You get get some nice things at very good prices and have a lot of fun doing it, did I mention I really hate to shop normally? I really had fun shopping here.
Me shopping at Freddie "cheap cheap's" shop
Debbie getting braids
Ingrid getting braids
Allan getting braids LOL
A true artist - hand rolled cigars
Me with a fresh hand rolled cigar - Mmmmmmmmm!
I give the highest of recommendations for the Bavaro Princess Resort, seven nights were not enough, I think 10-14 nights would be better. Don't just sit around the resort eating and drinking the whole time, get out and see the country and definitely do some shopping in the local community. We were here for a week in March of 2012 and already are talking about a return trip for Christmas. Oh, the total cost through Apple Vacations for airfare and the all enclusive resort for seven nights; about $1,300 each.
